Things To Know When Buying a Stroller

One of the pluses about looking for the best lightweight strollers for travel is that there are far less things to take into account than when looking for a regular stroller. The following are things to consider when making your purchase.

1. Size and weight

This is the most important aspect when choosing the best lightweight stroller. How much does it weight and how bulky is it? You really want it to be as small as possible while catering for all the other aspects that you need, such as a recline. You need to be comfortable lifting this stroller up stairs and you don’t want it to take up too much room in your hotel. As a general rule, an umbrella stroller can be the way to go since they fold up nice and compactly.

2. Recline

The next most important feature is recline. Do you need a recline or not? Strollers that feature a recline generally are bulkier and weigh more. If your child still naps then this feature may be worth sacrificing for a slightly bigger stroller. If not, consider buying a stroller which does not have a recline.

3. Easy to fold with a carry strap

These features are not essential but your stroller will be far easier to transport when out and about if you can fold it easily (preferably with one hand) and if there is a carry strap. At home, you may only fold your stroller and lift it up once your baby is already sitting in the car. While travelling, you may need to do this while holding your baby in one arm and then carry both the baby and the stroller up or down some stairs. The Best Lightweight Stroller should have this feature.

4. Storage basket

A storage basket on your stroller can be super handy to put your items. However, a bigger storage basket generally also translates to a bigger stroller, so work out how important this is to you.
