Baby Jogger are the original jogging stroller manufacturers and have been making them for 25 years. The city series was launched in 2012 after extensive research and testing of what parents are looking for in a city select double stroller. The City Elite is the best of the series and has all the features and extras they have on offer. It’s a swivel wheel stroller which is capable of locking if you want to do some power walking for which this stroller is ideal.

The swivel wheel makes the stroller make tight turns with ease so the good maneuverability is a real plus. The stroller weighs 24 lbs which is average for jogging strollers and still makes it portable and easy to lift. The weight capacity is 75 lbs which is massive, this is one of the highest you’ll see. With this capacity the stroller can last as long as your baby grows out of it, then you can use it for your next child! The 75 lbs include the weight of your baby and everything else you’re carrying in the stroller.

When in use your baby is protected with an adjustable 5 point harness and the seat is padded and vented for comfort. Should your baby need a nap it can do so comfortably as the seat reclines nearly flat with a vented seat top above and weather cover. For convenience there’s a quick one step fold system with a fold strap for easy storage. The storage on the stroller itself is very good with multiple compartments available including the back of the seat and the basket underneath. The handlebar has a console with has it’s own additional storage compartments. When parked there’s a brake to keep the stroller still and a multi position sun canopy with clear view windows to keep the sun from your baby.

Summary

Nearly every review on the web for the Baby Jogger City Elite is positive. A lot of reviews comment on how large the stroller is, for some it was a little too big. Most however saw this in positive ways like the massive amount of storage and the nice spacious seat for their baby. The negatives felt the stroller weighed slightly too much but even those reviews were ultimately positive. In fact we could find no one who rated the stroller less than 3 out of 5 stars which is impressive.

The Baby Jogger City Elite is a fantastic functional stroller. It has all the features you need for regular busy use and the comfort and care of your baby. If you want to go baby trend double jogging stroller or running especially in any intensive capacity you may want to choose another. One reviewer did run with it with success but it’s not really recommended by the manufacturer and the reviewer did feel it wasn’t as stable as he would have liked. However the majority of people on the web feel this is a really great stroller.
