Peg Perego Triplette SW Triple Stroller Review

The Peg Perego Triplette is a tandem triple stroller which means the seats are in front of each other. The other variety is side by side. The advantage of a tandem stroller is that you won’t take up the whole of a sidewalk or pathway like you do with a side by side triple. It’s a long big stroller but it needs to be to carry 3 little ones in safety. It’s designed so this can be easily done and the 3 seats mean you make sure each child is individually happy and comfortable.

The steering is controlled by a steering wheel from the handlebar. This is height and angle adjustable to make it easy to use and the wheels can be locked forward if needed. The seats attach to the chassis individually and can be substituted for 3 car seats (Primo Viaggio Tri Fix car seats, sold separately). Because the seats are mounted this way each child has their own seat, hood and leg covering. Each child is fastened securely and safely with their own freedom of movement 5 point harness.

There are centrally controlled brakes that are applied to the rear wheels. The wheels are shock absorbed so the stroller is easier to push and the ride smooth for your children. Their comfort is assured as the seats able to fully recline with 4 position backrests and 2 position footrests each. The seats can be mounted facing forward or back individually or the same way as in the picture above. This means you could have your youngest child facing you at the front with the other facing away if that’s what you want.

Below the seats is a large carrier basket which folds up with the chassis. Each seat has an adjustable hood with zip open covers for ventilation, this is included as well as the leg covers for each seat for warmth and weather protection. Summary

Despite the obvious drawback of a triple stroller being so big not many reviews actually complained about this with the Peg Perego Triplette. Some found it wouldn’t go in the trunk of even a bigger vehicle but then we think this is the sort of stroller where you use it straight from home and are restricted in that fashion. Storage may need to be a garage or large room in the home. The seats are easily removed and can face either direction which is a nice touch if you have a small baby you’d like to face you at the front.

This stroller has only 1 bad review and that’s due to the size so this is a very popular stroller overall. If you’re going to buy a triple stroller your choice is this or the Summit 360 triple.
